Reflections on harvests
Dear reader,
Happy autumnal equinox!
Juulia and I signed up for a swing dancing class together and today is day 1, starting in just a few hours. It’s at the local community center & will likely be lots of senior citizens and/or high schoolers looking for a hobby. I’m very excited and I can’t stop laughing about it.
Anyway — Sunday was a sweet transition into shorter days and longer nights. I love living somewhere that has all four seasons—it mirrors my body’s cycles so well. And truly, every time autumn comes around, my body feels so ready to slow down and be more internal (says the person who just signed up for swing dancing, lol).
To celebrate the equinox, Juulia & I had a backyard bonfire while doing some rituals for reflection, grounding, letting go of what we want to shed, and gratitude.
