The year of Move

Dear reader,

I am writing to you from my cozy office space on a gray, rainy Friday. Today, I am reflecting on my Word of the Year. Last year, the word that chose me was EXPAND. Perhaps I’ll share deeper reflections around my year of expand, but 2023 was truly full of expansion in every area of my life — my relationship, my home, my work, my money, my health, & my business.

What’s interesting about a Word of the Year is that the theme always shows up in ways I least expect it. For example, I thought my home life would expand in minuscule ways, like getting a new couch. But I actually bought a camper trailer, got a home feng shui reading (thank you Hailey!), & upgraded/renovated each room of my house.

Letting go of the expectation of what I want the word to mean typically leaves me with wide open possibilities — I just have to be available to seeing those possibilities.

This year, the word that chose me is MOVE. It’s not a word I particularly liked, but it’s a word that kept coming back around, nudging me for its attention.
